Tan or dark spots found on hands are often called liver or age spots. They can often be found on arms, shoulders and other areas of the body that are exposed to the sun on a regular basis. Usually they are most commonly experienced by adults older than 40 years of age. These spots are usually the result of extreme exposure to the sun. Though these spots are incredibly harmless, many don't like the way that they look and want to know how to get rid of them or cause them to fade.
