Cupuacu is a word that is often thrown around in the beauty industry for moisturizing, though it is rarely understood. More often than not, people know that it has extraordinary benefits for the skin and hair, but they don’t truly know what it is. In this article, I want to share with you what cupuacu actually is and how it can benefit you and your skin.

What Is Cupuacu?

Cupuacu derives from a tree that grows in the Amazonian rainforests. It can also come from places such as Brazil, Peru, Columbia, and Bolivia. The cupuacu is the fruit that is grown on this tree, and it has multiple uses. It is often seen as a primary ingredient in snack bars and ice cream but is more commonly used in beauty products. The butter made from cupuacu fruits mimics that of cocoa butter in the fact that it moisturizes in skincare products.

Benefits Of Cupuacu

Cupuacu butter, like cocoa butter, has a lot of benefits for your skincare and haircare. They can even be used in products such as lipstick, lip balm, hand creams, face lotions, and hair masks.
