Your skin is the largest organ you have, so when it starts to look a bit lackluster, you need to take action. The funny thing is, a lot of people aren’t sure where to even begin. Since all skin types are different and need individualized care, it’s important to personalize your skincare regimen.

Your cleanser is one of the most important parts of your skincare regimen. Look for ones that are suited for your skin type. If your skin is prone to breakouts, steer clear of cleansers that contain extra moisturizers. If your skin is particularly sensitive, look for brands that are free of dye and perfumes.

Everyone can benefit from exfoliation. It increases cell turnover and leaves your skin glowing. Some contain microbeads while others contain granules that gently whisk away dead skin. Before you purchase an exfoliating scrub, do some research on different products. Some can damage your skin if you aren’t careful. No matter which exfoliating scrub you choose, you should use it a few times a week, but not every day.

Eye Creams

Your eyes are one of the first places to show the signs of aging, so you need choose an eye cream that minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. Look for eye potions that contain retinol and hyaluronic acids. Both of these potent compounds can help keep you crease free. Note that some formulations pack a hefty dose of antioxidants, so only apply the smallest amount to avoid irritation.

Calm The Redness

There are a lot of skincare products out there, so you need to proceed with caution. While some are geared to tighten and tone, others may do the exact opposite. Cannabidiol – CBD - has become popular for many health products. Because of its anti-inflammatory characteristics, it has been added to many skincare products. CBD face cream not only moisturizes, it also can help minimize redness and acne. If you’re eager to try, ensure that you’re only purchasing from a reputable wholesaler.

If you’re serious about skincare, you need to find a serum that packs a punch. You can choose from night-only versions, or you can look for ones that can be used day and night without looking to heavy and thick.

Just make sure you choose ones that are again suited for your skin type. Also note that serums are more potent than creams and lotions, so if your skin is sensitive, only apply to a small area to avoid adverse reaction.

Whether you’re looking to heal your complexion or stop aging in its tracks, it all begins with a solid skincare routine. If you’re not sure where to start, or if your skin has a mind of its own, enlist the help of a dermatologist who can guide you in the right direction.
