Skin Tags: The Best Natural Remedies

Trusted Health Products

Skin tags are typically harmless; in most cases they aren't linked to any serious type of skin condition. They are otherwise known as moles or beauty marks that separate from the skin and can sometimes become bothersome - especially if they happen to be on awkward and unsavory places of the skin.

Thankfully, you don't have to go to a doctor to have them removed. That can be costly and inconvenient. There are several natural remedies you can attempt at home that have been proven to help eliminate skin tags.

Oregano Oil

This oil is not one of the more popular or well-known oils but it works wonderfully on removing skin tags over time. This is because the oil has incredibly strong antibacterial properties due to its components thymol and p-cymene. These two elements have very potent anti-oxidative, antimelanomic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic elements which aid in the elimination of skin tags.

It is suggested to mix the oregano oil with another gentler oil like castor or coconut oil. It's also advised that this method may take two to four weeks before the skin tag drops off.

Dandelion Stem Juice

This may sound very random and specific, but the components found in the stem of a dandelion contain properties that will target the skin tag and eliminate what it needs to thrive off of. This allows it to fall away within about four to five days.

This specific ingredient has also been known to be effective on skin conditions such as warts and eczema. It's important to only use the liquid that comes from the stem itself. Also, be mindful of any allergies you may have to other plants such as marigolds, daisies, chrysanthemums, etc. There is a good chance dandelion would negatively affect you in a similar way.

Fig Stem Juice

Much like the dandelion stem, the fig stem also has properties in it that promote the treatment and elimination of skin tags. This is a great alternative for those who want to try the dandelion option, but are unsure of any allergies. Using the juice that can be extracted from a fig stem is one of the most effective ways to get rid of skin tags.

While it is sometimes used to keep the body more alkaline and balance our pH levels, it has the opposite effect on a skin tag. The skin tag will likely turn an off or dark color a few days after consistent treatment with the juice before falling off completely.

Banana Peel

Now I know how silly and random this sounds but it really does work. After finishing the nutritious fruit, you can use the peel to rid your skin of annoying skin tags. Cut off a smaller portion of the peel and make sure it's big enough to cover the skin tag.

Also make sure the inside of the peel, the white part, is the side directly touching the skin tag. Wrap it firmly with a bandage and first aid tape to further secure it. Change it once a day. In a few days, you'll notice that the skin tag will fall off with the peel when you take it off.
