Papaya For Acne

Papaya is full of vitamins, nutrients, and enzymes that treat acne concerns and help create healthy skin that is acne free.

The most important points to remember when fighting acne are antibacterial and antifungal properties, the ability to exfoliate dirt away from the pores before there is build-up, and controlling oil production on the skin. The vitamins in papaya help heal skin by keeping inflammation low and healthy cells growing to replace any damaged ones or those that have been exfoliated away.

As papaya has the necessary properties for all of these it is able to fight acne on all fronts and repair any damage breakouts can cause. As a food, papaya is safe for most people, but may cause allergic reaction in some due to the high content of latex found in its sap.

Papaya For Skin Irritations

When choosing how to use papaya it is important to consider what purpose it will serve, ease of use, and potential allergies. As papaya is directly applied to the skin or consumed, the latex content can cause allergic reactions in anyone allergic to it.

This can range from skin irritation on the location of application to an anaphylactic reaction that requires immediate medical attention. For the best skin treatment, papaya can be applied directly or can be ground and included in a cleansing routine. Either the juice of the papaya or the flesh can be applied to the skin and then rinsed off with warm water.

The enzymes chymopapain and papain address acne concerns by removing the damaged cells and any build-up on the skin. They work as an exfoliator to clear the pores and remove the build-up without causing damage to the healthy skin cells.

The build-up and damaged cells are then washed away with warm water during the rinsing process. Due to the antibacterial and other properties it also reduces the growth of new bacteria and rids the skin of any bacterial build-up that can cause acne. This approach can clear current breakouts as well as avoid future ones.

Papaya And Inflammation

Once the build-up has been removed and the skin exfoliated, the vitamins and antioxidants will encourage new, healthy cells to grow in their place and lead to clear skin that is young looking and healthy. The levels of vitamin B and C also address any inflammation or swelling with their anti-inflammatory properties, which will clear any redness or swelling.

This also has the affect of helping the skin absorb the moisture provided and help to reduce oil creation, leading to clean skin that avoids acne.

These antioxidants are also beneficial in balancing the skin tone and ridding the skin of any sun or age spots, along with other discoloration’s, and creating a protective layer decreasing new damage from occurring and protecting the skin from the surrounding environment.

Papaya’s Vitamins, Nutrients And Enzymes

Papaya has the vitamins, nutrients, and enzymes needed to maintain acne-free skin, and uses a multi-prong approach to doing so. By exfoliating away the build-up and damaged cells it creates space for the new healthy cells to grow.

The vitamins encourage the growth of new cells as well as a protective layer that holds hydration in and blocks damages from sun and other environmental damages. Maintaining clear pores and reducing inflammation, swelling, and redness reduces the occurrence of acne and the antibacterial properties remove the bacteria that causes breakouts.
