Hyssop Oil And Its Many Uses

Considered to be one of the strongest antiviral essential oils to exist, hyssop oil contains almost every necessary chemical compound found in a plethora of other essential oils. Despite its complicated makeup, it's exceptionally gentle. Since it is so complex in its makeup it can be helpful in a therapeutic way with so many health issues and concerns. Here are some of the ways in which this oil can be used.

Aids Digestion

Because of the stimulant properties within hyssop oil, it can be a great aid to the digestive system. When your eating habits are a bit rocky, it can be kind of hard to maintain a regular and normal cycle of digestion. This can cause cramping, bloating, discomfort, indigestion and nausea.

This oil can help to increase the production of digestive enzymes that assist with the entire digestive process. Mix a few drops of the oil with some peppermint and coconut oil before rubbing it directly into your stomach. You can do this before or after a meal.

Skin Saver

Hyssop oil is a great home remedy for acne. Due to its cicatrisant properties it is known to be a highly effective way to combat breakouts. If you suffer from bad acne you likely also suffer from the scars that it leaves behind. Fortunately, the elements of hyssop oil can also target those spots and scars that make your acne a not so distant memory - even when your face is relatively clear from fresh breakouts.

The oil can also be used on other scars like stretch marks. A mixture of hyssop oil with jojoba, coconut and tea tree oil is a perfect mixture to help fade marks and scars that may impair the overall tone of your skin.

Menstruation Pain Relief

Some women really struggle during that time of the month. Even for those who experience normal periods, it's not a pleasant experience. But for others, a period can result in days in bed dealing with a great deal of pain. As an emmenagogue, hyssop oil helps to make menstruation more normal and regular by opening up the menses.

It can be used for the varying symptoms that are associated with menstruation such as headache, backache, fatigue and mood swings. A mixture of hyssop with some lavender applied on the lower abdomen with help to alleviate the discomfort of monthly menstruation.

We need a strong immune system in order to fight off germs, parasites and other illness causes. The aspects that allow the immune system to thrive as it should, rely greatly on digestion and circulation, which this oil aids tremendously.

Regular use can decrease the inflammation in certain parts of the body that leads to poor function and makes the body more susceptible to outside forces.
