As time goes on, the same skin which we displayed proudly in high school just isn’t the same anymore. While there’s no such thing as the Fountain of Youth, that doesn’t mean the fight against aging is a hopeless one. Women, in particular, spend an average of $8 per day on keeping their skin looking its best. Still, there’s more to preventing the signs of aging than spending a lot on expensive skin care products.
For example, one of the best ways to protect your skin from the effects of aging is to avoid the sun for prolonged periods. Although it’s a good idea to get some exposure to the sun every day to stimulate vitamin D production, too much sun can damage your skin and cause wrinkles. Wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing are the best preventative measures to ensure that you’ll have protection from the sun when you’re outside for a long time.
Of course, following a good skincare regimen each day and night will contribute to having younger-looking and healthier skin. Washing your face twice a day with a cleanser that’s right for your skin type, exfoliating regularly and using moisturizer gives your skin a major advantage when it comes to fighting the effects of aging.
