- Rinse your toothbrush under cold water vigorously to get all of the toothpaste and bacteria out.
- Store your toothbrush in an upright position so that it can dry properly before you use it again.
- Put it in a plastic case when you are traveling so that the bristles don’t fray and it doesn’t contract germs from anything else.
- Never share your toothbrush under any circumstances.
Overall, it is not safe nor is it sanitary to keep the same toothbrush for an extended period of time. When you do, you run the risk of your toothbrush not working as effectively or bacteria building up in the bristles.
Whenever you have had your toothbrush for over three months or your bristles begin to look worn out, it is time for you to replace either your toothbrush or your toothbrush head. Don’t use a worn-out toothbrush, it is not worth it.
