In addition, if you chew or smoke tobacco, you are advised to quit as this is a notorious catalyst for staining teeth. In other cases, the chemicals present in tobacco might cause your gums to appear white and calloused. This might affect the way you smile as you would not want people to see your teeth in such a deplorable state.

Moreover, it is also advisable to visit a dentist at least twice a year. By visiting a dentist, your teeth will be professionally cleaned with the necessary tools. Also, a dentist will check up on your teeth and gums and this will enable them to detect any kind of gingivitis, cavities, or other related ailments that may be affecting your teeth and gums.
