Just because some things have been done the same way for a long time, does not mean improvements can't be made. These seven new and different products can be included in anyone's normal routine, replacing the old standards.
1. Probiotics to add to your normal routine
Before the yogurt craze of the 1970s, few people had ever heard of probiotics or beneficial bacteria. Now we are learning that more strains of bacteria than yogurt contains are needed for optimal digestive tract health. An added bonus to a healthy gut is that your entire body will feel and look better.
Other benefits of probiotics include better immunity and healthier skin and hair.

2. Facial Masks to add to your normal routine
You may have used a facial mask in the past and stopped because the benefits did not outweigh the mess and elbow grease of getting the mask off your face. Today's masks are easier to remove and also provide more benefits than plain clay or oatmeal ones of the past did.
Peel-off types claim to do everything from making you look younger, to providing deep cleaning and a glow. Most of them come with a brush for application, which makes the job much easier.
Newer clay masks, especially those using red Australian clay, are said to instantly improve the look and feel of your skin and to provide a glow. They are easy to remove too. Over time, many users claim they no longer need makeup because their skin looks so good.
3. Facial Oil to add to your normal routine
Putting oil on your face might sound like a strange idea. After all, don't most people spend time trying to get rid of oil on their faces?
Facial oil is different. It is meant to mimic oils found in healthy skin, but it also contains things like vitamin C to increase cell turnover and provide a healthy glow. Just a few drops warmed between the hands and patted onto the face after cleansing provide quality moisture and other benefits that last all day.
4. Sea Salt Toothpaste to add to your normal routine
Ordinary fluoride toothpaste in a tube once seemed very normal since everyone used it. Now there are reports that fluoride and other chemicals found in toothpaste can actually be toxic.
Pink Himalayan sea salt has many uses from cooking to disinfecting the air via salt lamps. Now it is being used in toothpaste for its cleansing and antibiotic properties.
5. Silicone Exfoliating Pads to add to your normal routine
Unlike facecloths, loofahs or sponges, silicone pads will not grow mold or spread germs. Used with soap or liquid cleanser, they do a thorough cleansing and exfoliating job and rinse thoroughly clean afterward. They can also be used when shampooing to thoroughly remove oil and debris, while stimulating the scalp.
6. Reusable Swabs to add to your normal routine
Growing concern over plastics and other pollutants in the ocean has lead several companies to experiment with reusable swabs.
Reusable swabs were never considered in the past, but are growing in popularity. Most are made of silicone, which will not hurt ear canals, and which can be easily rinsed and cleaned. Some silicone swabs even come in attractive travel cases.
7. Oil-Based Nail Polish Remover to add to your normal routine
In previous generations, the only way to remove nail polish was with acetone, which is not only toxic to breathe and dries out nails and cuticles but is also highly flammable.
Oil-based removers are gentle, smell good and are actually beneficial to both nails and cuticles. Since the nails are moisturized rather than dried out, they will break less and hangnails will not result from dry and hard cuticles.
Old habits are hard to break, but trying new and innovative products can be fun. If change makes you nervous, try one of these products at a time, as your normal items are used up. However, if you thrive on change and adventure, seek them all out right away and decide for yourself if they are just fads or definite improvements.
