Oral health is important not only for your teeth but also for your overall health. Poor oral health can lead to increased risk of heart disease, heart attack, stroke, and many other maladies.

Preventative dental care is an important part of health care and regular dental appointments should be maintained, as well as proper brushing and frequent flossing at home. Preventative care dental appointments should be addressed twice a year for adults and children. These appointments can include a deep clean with a dental hygienist, most often using special scaling and cleaning tools or with a high-pressure water spray.

Along with brushing twice a day the teeth should be flossed a minimum of once daily while twice is preferred. This removes food debris from between the teeth and along the gums.
