Almond Oil: The Key Benefits

There are specific oils that have been used as beauty aids for hundreds of years. Just recently there has been key advancements in our ability to obtain information regarding which oils are best for us and how they promote positive results. Almond oil is one of the most sought after and coveted oils for the health of both skin and hair. This oil is very popular in Southeast Asia and in specific regions of the Mediterranean, where the almond tree is found in plentiful amounts. This oil is also known to have positive effects on the heart, but this list will focus on the external beauty benefits. 

Moisturizer

This oil is naturally hypoallergenic and mild. Full of healthy fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins, zinc and potassium, these components promote natural absorption. Almond oil can be used as a massage oil due to its pleasant, sweet and nutty smell. While many synthetic skin care products state the presence of vitamin E, it can sometimes be added artificially or without the proper dosing in mind. The great thing about almond oil is that it has plentiful amounts of vitamin E from its completely natural and abundant source.

Cleanser

Many people don't realize that certain oils can be used as a cleansing agent. Almond oil is one of the best oils for this purpose because it is light and can easily penetrate the skin. Those who struggle with naturally oily skin may be hesitant to try this method for cleaning, but they shouldn't worry. This oil is incredibly airy and light. Also, skin that is prone to oil is usually that way because it craves moisture and produces an abundance of it because it's deficient. Cleansing with this oil will allow the elimination of debris and dirt that has gathered in the pores. In addition, because of the trace elements of vitamin A, acne flare-ups may be reduced.

Remove Darkness

If you are prone to dark circles or suffer from bags under your eyes, you may be surprised how almond oil can help eliminate this issue. Pat a bit of the almond oil under your eyes and watch the darkness lessen after a period of two weeks. If you find yourself overly exposed to the sun, almond oil can offer great relief. This oil is also great at eliminating those unseemly, pesky tan lines. Whether you have a tan line from a watch, a T-shirt or a bathing suit, you can lighten the area just by applying a bit of almond oil and honey.

Reverse Aging Signs

One of the best aspects of this oil is the high level of vitamin E, which is known fondly as the skin vitamin. Due to this property, it is known to keep skin soft, supple and retaining that youthful allure that so many chase after reaching a certain age. If you are struggling with fine lines, wrinkles or crows feet, applying this oil will renew your skin and return it to its prior glow.
