Rosemary is well known for many uses in personal care products and for cooking. When used for skin care it can fight acne, wrinkles and other signs of aging, minimize the appearance of pores, reduce bags under the eyes, and fight against eczema and inflammation.

Anti-inflammatory properties of rosemary leaf oil

The anti-inflammatory properties of rosemary leaf oil are beneficial for fighting many skin concerns related to inflammation including eczema and puffiness around the eyes. Rosemary leaf oil lessens inflammation allowing less irritation and decreased puffiness. It allows skin to remain tight across the face, reduces dry skin and rashes, and slows the signs of aging and wrinkles.

Antibacterial properties of rosemary leaf oil

As an antibacterial agent this oil also reduces bacteria that grow around the pores, keeping skin clear from acne and avoiding breakouts. It also helps reduce the amount of oil that the skin produces, which leaves pores clear and skin clean.

The skin’s oil forms a protective layer over the skin to keep moisture in, but when skin produces too much it builds up and clogs pores, leading to bacteria growth and acne occurrences. As pores remain clear and avoid build-up they appear smaller and less noticeable.

Antiseptic properties of rosemary leaf oil

The added antiseptic of rosemary leaf oil also works to clear skin. It clears away dead and damaged skin cells and any microbes that are present.

Reducing the risk of infection and irritations keeps skin healthy and free of any form of build-up. This tightens the skin and reduces water build-up of puffiness that occurs, preventing wrinkles and fine lines and slowing the signs of aging.

Rosemary leaf oil an all-around skincare product

As an all-around skincare product rosemary leaf oil addresses the most common skincare concerns for all ages from acne and excess oil to dry skin and signs of aging. As an antiseptic and antibacterial agent it reduces bacteria and any infection on the skin keeping it clear from acne and clogged pores, as well as tightening skin and reducing wrinkles through anti-inflammatory properties.

It can be used directly on the skin through products such as cleansers or toners, or included as a diluted oil applied directly to the skin. The boost of antioxidants gives skin the ability to fight free radicals and repair skin cells while producing new, healthy skin cells to take place of the damaged ones as they are removed.

Rosemary leaf oil is safe for use for most people and can be used in safely diluted amounts. If allergies are present then it should be tested on a small area first.
