Your health is the single most important part of your life. It impacts how you feel, how you perform, how you interact with others and how you function. However, it's something you need to work on and nourish each day because good health doesn't just happen on its own.

How well would you say you're doing taking care of yourself? Are you focusing on your entire body inside and out? When optimal health is your goal, paying attention to your whole self is a must. Here are four simple ways you can do just that, ideally reaping the benefits of your best health yet.

1. Pinpoint Intolerances or Allergies

Have you ever noticed feeling unwell or uncomfortable after eating or being exposed to different foods or ingredients? While having that happen now and then can be normal, it might be a red flag if it's happening on a more consistent basis.

Chances are you're familiar with regular allergy testing or even allergy injections. However, there are more in-depth ways to determine allergies or intolerances that will allow you to pinpoint the issue and ideally create a healthier, more comfortable lifestyle as a result.

For instance, maybe you've been experiencing unpleasant symptoms or reactions to products containing gluten. While dietary changes are typically the first course of action, taking a gluten test could help you understand what's going on inside of your body.

2. Turn Your Tub Into a Whole-Body Treatment

There's no doubt that long, hot soaks in a bathtub are one of the best ways to relax and rejuvenate. But did you know there are ways to turn your typical hot soak into a full-body treatment?

Your body is exposed to toxins every day, whether they're environmental, from food and drink, or personal care products you use regularly. These toxins can build up and lead to a multitude of unpleasant symptoms, such as digestive troubles, muscle tension, skin irritation and anxiety.

Treating yourself to a magnesium soak is a great way to not only relax your body but to relieve constipation, soothe skin and provide anti-inflammatory benefits as well.

Bentonite clay is another treatment to try for your next soak. It has stimulant properties for the lymphatic system, which is ideal for detoxification. The best part? These soaks are very affordable, making them an easy addition to your healthcare routine.

3. Smile

Did you know that there's a lot more to smiling than just a friendly face? When you genuinely smile, your entire body benefits. Stress is one of the most detrimental factors when it comes to your health. Smiling can not only reduce stress but several of its common side effects as well, such as high blood pressure, low mood and anxiety.

It's also a great way to ignite your immune system, boosting your overall wellness. The good feeling you get from giving - and receiving - a smile might also increase your life expectancy

4. Spend More Time Outdoors

How often do you spend a good amount of time outside? If you're not getting outside for at least 20 minutes each day, changing that will be an essential part of improving your health.

While your schedule might make clocking in time outside tricky, take note of the positive health benefits you'll gain from making it happen. This doesn't mean you have to go on a day-long hike or picnic in the park every day, but it could mean something as simple as a 20-minute walk on your lunch break, stepping outside for five minutes at a time, or switching around your routine in the morning so you can absorb some morning sun.

It won't take much exposure to notice a positive change in your overall wellness. Chances are it will become so addicting that you'll find new ways each day to get outside.

Taking care of yourself from the inside out is not only a must, it's easy to do as well. There are countless ways to feel, look and perform better. Adding new ways to your everyday routines will ensure you become happier and healthier in no time.
