Irritation of the skin can happen to everyone. Most often, it occurs from the use of creams or lotions that are not suitable for your skin or from too much chemistry in the same. But there are also natural products that you can insert into your skincare routine with essential oils.

However, these oils do not match all skin types. There is a skin test to know exactly what oil matches your kind of skin, so you don't have unwanted consequences.

Essential oils are used in many natural beauty recipes like lotions or natural face oils. They are so powerful and concentrated, so they will always need to be well mixed with another oil like coconut, almond, jojoba.

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree oil is naturally antibacterial. It fights germs that cause acne, fungi and some infections. It also helps with scars and scratches. If you have swelling or redness, essential tea tree oil is a great choice.

Before use, take a pre-made test to make sure that this oil matches your skin type. Most often, the essential tea tree oil is not directly used on the skin. It is diluted with coconut, almond or olive oil. For every two drops of tea tree oil you dilute with 12 drops of the essential oil.

Several studies have shown that it helps to treat psoriasis. It can also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles during aging, which makes the skin smooth.

Grapefruit Essential Oil

This essential oil of grapefruit has a fresh fragrance. You can insert it into your beauty routine because it is an excellent choice for people with oily skin; it quickly and easily heals acne.

Vitamin C contained in the oil helps prevent damage to the skin from the sun. It reduces wrinkles and leaves a smooth and beautiful texture on the skin.

If you have a cut off or a wound, a mosquito or some other insect bite, or an infection or irritation of the skin, then this essential oil is the ideal solution for you. If diluted with almond or jojoba oil, you can directly apply it to the skin or you can put it in your bath.

Lemongrass Essential Oil

Lemongrass еssential оil is a natural oil with antibacterial properties that makes it multifunctional for your skin. This oil also works on anti-aging, acne and pores that can be difficult to treat.

The oil is also used as a toner for shiny and smoother skin. Never put it directly on your skin. Add 12 drops of essential oil with one teaspoon of a carrier oil such as coconut or almond oil.

Geranium Essential Oil

With its antibacterial properties, geranium essential oil can enhance your skin's health. It reduces inflammation and prevents the closure of pores, which reduces the appearance of acne.

Because it has antibacterial properties, it is excellent for applying to wounds and cuts. It can also be used for toning the skin, which prevents the appearance of wrinkles. Using two drops of geranium essential oil, add one teaspoon of coconut oil.

Last Thoughts

Essential oils should already exist in your beauty routine. These natural oils smell great and will maintain your skin with a shine and prevent occurrences of other problems.

Always research the brands from where you purchase and make sure that the essential oils are of natural herbs, trees or plants and are tested for purity and quality. One of the essential oil brands that I personally use is doTERRA because of their doterra membership and the opportunity to grow a side business while enjoying the benefits of the essential oils.

Essential oils can be very powerful, so it is recommended that you first do a skin test and be sure to mix well with other oils because the skin is very gentle.
