With winter finally behind you, you're probably more than ready for summer fun. The question is, is your skin ready? After months of being covered up, it's time for the annual summertime reveal... and that can be a little daunting. Have no fear! Read on for some tips on how to make your skin your best summertime accessory.

Adjust Your Skincare Products
With the arrival of warmer temperatures, it's time to make adjustments to your skincare routine. And since everyone's skin is different, you'll need to do some homework as to what's right for your skin type. To make sure you spend less time getting ready and more time enjoying the beautiful weather, consider trying a multi-purpose product that will cover your bases and get you on your way. To prevent breakouts or other skin irritations, check product labels to make sure that everything you put on your face is non-comedogenic. And finally, don't forget from your neck down - make sure you have a fresh supply of sunscreen on hand to protect your skin all summer long.

Know Your Water
When you wash your face or bathe, it's not just your cleanser that you're getting up close and personal with. The water coming out of your faucet can directly affect the health and feel of your skin. If you have hard water, you might feel dry and itchy after bathing. If this is you, having your water tested and installing an in-home water softener system will make your water more skin friendly by removing its excess magnesium and calcium. You might even notice that you use less product overall, from soaps to lotions. And as an added bonus, you'll probably find that your water tastes better!

Scrub A Dub Dub
Who doesn't like the feeling of freshly exfoliated skin? Since summertime is the season of tank tops, shorts and bathing suits, what better time to give your skin a little boost? A little does go a long way, especially in the more delicate areas...so be careful not to overdo it. By scrubbing down a few times a week, you'll encourage cell turnover and keep pores clear of buildup from sweat, oils and sunscreen, making it looks great and feel even better. It's also great for preventing and treating ingrown hairs from shaving. Try making your own scrub at home using basic products you probably already have on hand.

Start On The Inside
You know what you can do to help your skin look its best on the outside, but what are you doing for your skin from the inside? Adding vitamins and nutrients to your body through supplements is an easy and effective way to give your skin an overall boost, but focusing on nutrition from food is one of the best ways to get everything you need. So next time you're at the grocery store, swing by the seafood counter for some salmon. Not only will it taste great grilled, its fatty acids are a real treat for your skin. And in addition to vitamins and nutrients, don't forget to sip on water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated and energized while ridding itself of skin-dulling toxins.

Confidence is one of the biggest parts of looking good. And when you look good, you feel good. By spending just a little extra time on yourself, you can boost your confidence so you're more than ready to throw on your favorite summer outfit and join in on the fun... while flaunting your fabulous, glowing skin, of course. Enjoy the summer!
