There are so many things about life that are inevitable - aging is one of those things. While nothing can change how old you are or stop time from marching on, you have the ability to control how you feel and to improve the quality of your life. Here are five simple things you can do to enrich your days by treating your body well, focusing on connections and adding a healthy dose of excitement to your everyday.

Keep Your Friends Close

Human beings, by nature, are not meant to exist alone. As you age, spending time alone is not uncommon due to life's changing circumstances, but that doesn't mean you should accept loneliness as just another part of growing older. Spending more time with others, especially people who bring out the best in you and make you laugh, is so important to your mental and physical health. And being part of a group of friends - no matter how large or small, will make you feel part of something and give you a sense of belonging. Be Comfortable In Your Skin

While you're busy making sure your mental and physical needs are tended to, remember that it's also healthy and important to focus on your looks - especially if certain things you do make you feel good and boost your confidence. Making time for each other will get that oxytocin flowing, bringing you closer and adding a spring to your steps.

While nothing can be done to change time itself, there's plenty you can do to enrich and add excitement to your life regardless of your age - it's just a number after all, right? Feeling younger and more energized is possible. You just have to want it.
