If you’re looking to introduce anti-aging products into your skincare routine, all natural is the way to go. Natural ingredients are packed with antioxidants which neutralize and prevent the formation of free radicals - the molecules responsible for cell damage.

We naturally begin to lose antioxidants as we age which can in turn result in oxidative stress - the cause of hyperpigmentation, lines and wrinkles, and skin issues like eczema and acne. The good news is that we can turn to natural sources of powerful antioxidants - like algae, sweet almond oil, and neem - to get healthier, younger-looking skin.

Algae Extract

Marine algae is packed with vitamins and minerals beneficial for the skin. In particular, it contains vitamins B and C, and potent antioxidants which have been proven to protect against free radical damage, prevent brown spots, and stimulate collagen production to minimize visible signs of aging.

Additionally, algae contains magnesium and zinc which strengthen the skin barrier, better protecting your face from daily environmental pollution. Algae extract is also very moisturizing - it contains humectants which are extremely effective at absorbing water.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet almond oil is a nutritional powerhouse. It contains vitamin E which protects the skin from UV radiation damage responsible for accelerated aging. In fact, in a study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, sweet almond oil was found to protect the skin from the sun and even reverse damage caused by UV rays.

Mix a few drops of sweet almond oil with your sunscreen to enhance sun protection and provide a healthy, glowing complexion. Sweet almond oil also contains vitamin A, potassium, and zinc which collectively fight acne and hydrate and smooth dry skin.

Neem Oil

Neem oil may not smell too great, but it’s one of the best anti-aging ingredients for your skin. When made part of your daily skin care routine, neem stimulates collagen production to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Neem also has antimicrobial properties which remove germs from the surface of skin, therefore treating and preventing acne.

And if you have eczema or dry skin, neem can improve irritation and redness as it contains anti-inflammatory compounds.

These beautiful natural ingredients have been used all over the world for centuries. They’re effective and have no harmful side effects, unlike the majority of commercially-sold synthetic skin care products. Try algae, sweet almond oil, and neem out for yourself and say hello to a healthier, glowing complexion.
