Trusted Health Products

Having bad breath can be incredibly embarrassing. While many people have suffered from this affliction, there is a segmented part of the population that actually suffers from chronic bad breath, which is referred to as halitosis. It affects approximately 30% of the world, but with some simple tips and tricks can be completely eliminated. There are certain things that contribute to this issue. Here are some easy cures for bad breath.

Oral Care

It sounds simple but many people don't do as thorough of a job when they are tending to their dental hygiene. Neglecting to do so can lead to bad breath and a slew of other problems down the line. Make sure you are brushing your teeth thoroughly twice a day. Also make sure that you are flossing and rinsing your mouth daily as well. Sometimes little particles of food may get stuck in your teeth or in the back of your throat. The bacteria that is present can cause your breath to turn sour. Diligent oral care is key.

Fiber-Rich Foods

Foods that are high in processed sugars and carbs tend to make your breath smell bad. On the opposite spectrum, foods that are rich in fiber can naturally combat bad breath. Foods like lentils, black beans, peas, broccoli, artichokes and Brussels sprouts should be added into your diet and consumed regularly. Fiber-rich foods have a whole myriad of benefits. It's nice to know that it won't just help your bad breath but it will also provide other benefits your body needs.

Drink Black And Green Teas

These teas contain polyphenols which help to eliminate compounds of sulfer. This can help to cause that sour smell in your mouth. These teas are also great for reducing the amount of oral bacteria that resides there. The mouth is full of bacteria and if it isn't properly gotten rid of, it will cause foul smelling breath. If you are sensitive to caffeine, try decaffeinated versions of the tea. You'll be surprised how much the tanins in the teas will help eliminate bad breath.

Rinse After Dairy, Meat And Fish

Many people don't realize that heavy protein consumption can lead to bad breath. This is also true of dairy. If you have certain nutritional need and can't limit these things in your diet, you should definitely make sure to thoroughly rinse your mouth after consuming them. Using an alcohol-free mouthwash will certainly do the trick. If you don't have any on hand, rinse out your mouth with water.

Take A Probiotic

Odor-causing bacteria is usually what makes different parts of your body smell bad. This includes your breath. Taking an oral probiotic helps to balance out the oral cavity and other parts of your body so that smelly odors don't arise. Along with a regimen of other odor-neutrializing vitamins like vitamins C, E, D and B, a probiotic can be just the thing to help eliminate your bad breath and boost your self confidence.
