If you are afraid you may have any kind of heart issue, or if you just want to know what to look out for, then keep reading. You need to know the signs and symptoms of heart issues. When you catch an issue early, you might save your life.

Chest Discomfort

If you start experiencing chest discomfort for no reason, then you should be concerned. You can call your doctor immediately to tell them how it feels. Chest pain is often the first sign of a heart attack, but not everyone experiences it.

If you start experiencing an odd sensation of pressure or burning pain in the chest when being active or sitting still, then you need to call a doctor immediately.

Swollen Legs and Feet

If you notice your legs and feet becoming swollen, then that might have something to do with the heart. When the heart isn't pumping as well as it should, it can cause your legs and feet to swell. It can cause all kinds of bloating, and you might notice your abdomen becoming swollen, as well. If things don't seem to be right with your body, then talk to your doctor.

Shortness of Breath

Shortness of breath is one of the signs some people get when they are having a problem with their heart. This is especially true of those with diabetes, as they are less likely to experience chest pain.

If you become out of breath for no reason or more quickly than normal, or your CPAP machines don't seem like they are doing enough anymore, then you need to have your heart examined.

Pain in the Upper Back, Left Arm, and Jaw

Some of the pain people experience with heart problems is in the upper back, the shoulders, left arm, and jaw. If you are noticing any odd pains like these, don't ignore them. Pain can radiate down the left arm with a heart attack, and you need to get checked immediately.

Always be smart and cautious about what is going on with your body. Know what some of the signs of a heart problem are so that you can watch out for them and get care when needed. Never ignore these symptoms or others, but talk to your doctor about all of them.
