The human skin is the largest organ of the body among all the five sensory organs. The sense of touch is very important for man to avoid injury or harm.

Lotions and creams are the skin care products that really sell - especially for women. Women give more attention to their facial skin compared to men. Most men depend on natural skin care alternatives rather than creams or lotions. 14 natural skin care alternatives are:

1. Water

This alternative skin care is actually better than any other preparation. Everyone uses water for cleansing the skin through bathing, hand and face washing. It is the best alternative to cleansing creams and lotions.

2. Clothing

Clothes, hats, shoes, socks and other body covers are the best for skin care protection. Hats protect the face and head from the suns heat. No pills or other preparations provide as much skin care as clothing.

3. Bath soap

Bathing soap is considered a natural alternative to other cleansing agents that are not used for the entire body. It is not practical to use skin cleansing preparations for the whole body - different types of soaps often provide better benefits for the entire body than any lotions or creams.

4. Tropical fruits

Fruits are the best alternatives to manufactured preparations for skin care. Most of them contain vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, potassium, fiber, vitamin E, vitamin K and others vitamins that help keep the skin and body healthy.

5. Broccoli

The antioxidants in this vegetable are vitamins C and E. Vitamin C aids in the production of collagen that contributes to the healthy condition of the skin and is a factor in making it supple. Vitamin E helps in protecting the skin from ultra violet sun rays.

6. Almonds

This food has a lot of vitamin E but is also high in calories. Instead of eating by themselves, almonds can be mixed and cooked with other foods.

7. Whole wheat foods

Whole wheat foods like bread and pasta have a high content of selenium that protects the skin from damage from the environment and also contributes to skin elasticity.

8. Carrots

Beta carotene in this vegetable is converted to vitamin A inside the body. It helps repair skin tissues and also protects the skin from the suns rays.

9. Squash seeds

Squash seeds are high in zinc the mineral known for skin cell growth and maintenance of collagen. Zinc is also responsible for directing vitamins and minerals to the body parts that need them.

10. Fish

This food contains omega-3 fats that are responsible for keeping toxins out and helping reduce inflammation of the skin. It also serves as prophylaxis for some forms of skin cancer.

11. Liquids

Juices, whether they come from fruits or vegetables, also provide the necessary nutrition and hydration the skin and body needs.

12. Honey

Honey has antioxidant and anti-microbial properties that absorb and retain moisture. It is used for skin care treatments to protect the skin from the damage and rejuvenate depleted skin extensively.

13. Egg oil

Properties of this food act as an anti-bacterial agent, skin conditioner, moisturizer, anti-oxidant, penetration enhancer, and emollient. Egg oil packs a lot of vitamins that help keep the skin in good condition.

14. Coconut oil

The oil of this food is another one-stop-shop natural skin care alternative. It strengthens underlying tissues of the skin and helps remove excessive dead cells from the surface of the skin. It also provides deep and real moisture for the skin.
