Life can get hectic at times. The past year may be more evidence of that than most people really needed. Yet, there is a way to find balance and peace amid the chaos. Sometimes, peace and calm come from unexpected sources.

Here are 10 ways to help you find balance the next time life tries to throw you off-kilter.

The first thing you need to do when you start to feel overwhelmed is establishing a set of priorities. While this step may not be entirely unexpected, the simplicity of it will probably surprise you.

While it isn't perfect, you should have a rough idea of what your top priorities are once you're done. These are the things that get your attention when life is trying to pull you in too many directions.
