Buriti oil is derived from a fruit called mauritia flexuosa - which comes from a tree dubbed by many Amazonian Indians as the “tree of life.” This oil has amazing properties that can be directly attributed to the nutrients within it and all the ways in which it has been used historically.

The oil has a lovely golden orange color that automatically makes it comforting and calming to the sight. It is full of beta carotene which is a pigment found in many fruits and plants that provides a certain level of health and healing to those who use it. This oil has been known to provide the hair and skin with a tremendous amount of support and soothing qualities. Here's exactly how.

Great Moisturizer

One of the most important and pressing things about the skin, and caring for it properly, is the incorporation of moisturizer. The skin is susceptible to many things as we go about our day-to-day lives. As such, we must be mindful of how dry skin is the type that is more easily penetrated by outside environmental factors like pollution, free radicals and so many other things.

If you have a hard time getting your skin to the moisture level you would like, that can be very cumbersome. You might also feel that you are trying a whole host of products but to no avail. This oil is a great antidote. Try just a drop or two on the skin and watch how easily it penetrates skin and properly hydrates the face.

We all want to look as young as we can for as long as we can. The anti-aging aspect of the skin care industry is massive because everyone is always chasing the elusive fountain of youth. In the anti-aging process, buriti oil helps to protect how the skin cells function on the face.

It allows the membranes around them to exist as they should and not essentially die out or get too tired. If you are suffering from any type of premature aging, whether it is sun spots, lines, or sagging skin, you need to add this oil to your skin care repertoire.

Combats Frizz

If you have unruly hair that has a mind of its own, this oil is perfect to add into your shampoo or conditioner. There are so many different hair serums and other products that promise sleek and easily managed hair, but those come with a whole host of ingredients you don't actually want anywhere near your head. Buriti oil is the perfect answer.

The nutrient-rich vitamins and minerals within the oil do a fantastic job of taming out of control, frizzy hair. It helps to properly hydrate your hair but also make it much more manageable as you use it more and more. You can add a few drops to your shampoo or even lightly apply just a bit to the tips of your fingers and work it throughout your whole head.
