Bacteria in your mouth that contributes to plaque and tartar is normally caused by foods that are high in sugar and/or starch. These can release acids that are harmful for your teeth and mouth, so try to avoid them in your diet.
- Do Not Smoke
Smoking or other uses of tobacco can contribute to a greater buildup of tartar in the mouth and can also lead to more serious health issues for your mouth.
