Considering how important physical appearance is for students - and how big of a toll college life can take on the condition of their skin - it is always best to use at least some products that will help maintain health and not take too much time to apply.

Considering how vast and diverse the skincare market is nowadays, trying to come up with a comprehensible and adequate list of products that you will not regret buying and actually use is hard to accomplish.

We’ve arranged a useful list of skincare product groups to use during your college years. We will not name any brand or offer a specific product because every person has their unique skin conditions, allergies, etc., however, the number of various skincare products that exist on the market nowadays will allow you to pick something that will be suitable for your specific needs.

1. Face and body moisturizing lotions and creams.

Washing your body and face every day with water that has a lot of impurities and a high pH level can severely worsen or even damage the health of your skin if you are not taking any precautions.

The best you can do to restore the condition of your face and body after showering is to apply a product that will moisturize and protect it for a prolonged period of time.

2. Use only high-quality hand cream.

If you consider how many things we do with our hands, and how severely we expose our skin to harmful elements, you will understand how important it is for you to use a hand cream every morning. Doing this will prevent your hands from getting dry and hard to the point of discomfort.

3. Use a shampoo that does not contain harmful additives.

Shampoo is simply a soap made specifically for the skin of your head. Thus, if you are going to use any shampoo that has a lot of harmful additives - like parabens - for a consistent amount of time, you will put not only the health of your skin but the condition of your hair as well under a huge risk!

Moreover, using such shampoos can cause severe dandruff issues, so you must make sure that any product you buy will not have any detrimental effects on your skin.

4. Use a cuticle softening oil to keep them from peeling.

Everybody knows how painful it is and how unhealthy it looks when your cuticles are suffering from peeling. To prevent such an unfortunate issue from happening, use a cuticle softening oil to protect these sensitive parts of your skin as best as you can.

5. Find suitable deodorant.

Regardless of how fashionable you may look, the unpleasant smell of sweat will ruin all the effort you have put into taking care of your appearance. Moreover, being sweaty all day will not do any good for the condition of your skin.

Make sure to use deodorants that have their contents approved by dermatologists to ensure that the product that you select will be safe for your skin.
