As many of the specific oils we have been exploring go, their abilities and levels of effectiveness differ. The same goes for the oil that we will be discussing today. Burdock oil comes from a root that was used widely in Asian and

European cuisine in order to infuse the dishes with a specific flavor. It was soon found that this root had tremendous nutritional and healing properties and its function shifted over time. The root itself appears slender and only grows to about two feet. Its powerful antioxidant properties are what make it a wonderful detoxifier.

Heals Skin Conditions

If you suffer from skin issues that plague certain parts of your body, such as psoriasis or eczema, you would find a bit of relief with burdock oil. Due to the overwhelming antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties within the oil, it works well to not only help eliminate flare-ups but properly nourish the compromised skin.

One of the hardest aspects of these skin issues is how noticeable they tend to be. This can cause severe self consciousness and become a battle for the sufferer.

Cures Dry Scalp

Because we so often forget that the scalp is also skin and should be taken care of as such, many people find that they deal with scalp issues intermittently throughout the course of their life. Dry, itchy scalp can be so annoying and it's also pretty unsightly to see someone continuously scratching their scalp.

Dandruff is a huge indicator that your scalp isn't as healthy as it should be. If you are suffering with those pesky white flakes that make their unruly presence known, try massaging some burdock oil into your scalp. A few drops will go a long way.

Aids Digestive Health

Due to the levels of mucilage and insulin within the burdock root, it’s great to help keep you regular. Making sure that you are digesting things properly and that your system is working at its optimal level is incredibly necessary for the overall health of your intestines.

If you find that you are experiencing bloating, cramping or other symptoms of a digestive tract that isn't working properly, a bit of burdock oil will go a long way. Ensuring that your system stays regular is of very high importance.

Regulates Blood Sugar

With the influx of food at our disposal, more and more people are starting to suffer from obesity and specific health issues related to weight. One of the most prevalent conditions is diabetes. Sugar levels are incredibly crucial to how the body functions and can put strain on your heart and other organs.

Burdock oil is low in calories which is helpful for those who adhere to the metrics of the glycemic index. Maintaining a healthy diet is crucial for a whole host of reasons but thwarting very serious and specific health issues is definitely high on the list of reasons to have some burdock oil on hand.
