Tea keeps these blood vessels smooth and clear. As a matter of fact, a Dutch study conducted over a six-year period found that there was a 70 percent reduction in heart attack fatalities in those that drank up to three cups of black tea a day.

Providing Antioxidants

Antioxidants are exactly what they sound like they are. They are ingredients that protect the body from the destruction caused by the air, such as the effects of air pollutants, which cause premature aging.

Protecting From Cancer

Those antioxidants not only protect you from the pitfalls of getting older. They can also protect you from various cancers. Though some tests have been deemed inconclusive, there is further research that shows that tea-drinking is a surefire way to fight carcinogens.

Containing Less Caffeine Than Coffee

Did you know that a cup of coffee, on average, has three times the amount of caffeine that a cup of tea does? That’s insane! Eight ounces, the typical serving of coffee, contains 135 milligrams of caffeine, while a comparable serving of tea contains only 40 milligrams.

A slow metabolic rate in the body can be caused by many things, however, the effect is always a difficulty or inability to lose weight. Fortunately, drinking tea, particularly green tea, gives your metabolism a boost, helping your body burn an additional 16 calories for each cup you drink.

Tea bolsters your body’s natural immunity and helps it fight infections, whether they are viruses or of germ origin. A recent challenge measured the immune responses of 21 volunteers that drank either five cups of coffee or tea daily for a month, and the immune system activity among the tea drinkers was significantly higher.

In conclusion, tea is not only a delicious beverage, but it also has healing and calming properties that can come in handy in our daily lives. Try a daily spot of tea and you will surely see the difference in how well you will feel.
