There are lots of reasons to love turmeric, the anti-inflammatory spice known best for giving mustard its yellow color. That yellow color is partly thanks to curcumin, a compound that may protect against cancer, Alzheimer's, and blood clots. Other nutritional benefits this yellow spice imparts include high antioxidants, antiseptic properties, and a lowered risk for cancer.

They also help you to feel full faster, which may help you eat less. Whats more, when you combine chia seeds with water, they form a gel thats even more easily digested and absorbed by the body.
