Ultimate Tips To Get Natural Looking White Teeth

All your glamour and clamor can be dented or elevated depending on your smile. And although you may not hear it from your acquaintances, if you have any issue within your dental formulae, they’ll be wondering, are your teeth crooked? Is that a stain? Surely, a dental clean-up to get perfect teeth isn’t that expensive.

And while whitening products are readily available to offer that sparkling smile, more people are wary of the chemical ingredients. If you’re one of them, I’m going to show you some of the effective tips that I have used to get the sought-after natural-looking white teeth.

Oil pulling

Aimed at improving oral hygiene and eradicating toxins from the body, oil pulling is a practice that aids in removing germs from your mouth. All you must do is swish oil (either sesame, sunflower, or coconut) around your mouth.

Besides eradicating plagues and germs in the mouth, oil pulling also reduces gingivitis. The beneficial components in coconut oil make it more populous among users, given that it also has a pleasant taste. To undertake this practice, take one tablespoon of coconut oil, push and pull it through your teeth for 15 to 20 minutes.

Hydrogen peroxide and Baking Soda Paste

Because of its ability to kill germs, hydrogen peroxide is one of the most renowned natural bleaching agents used over the years. It’s majorly used in commercial whitening products. Toothpaste containing hydrogen peroxide has shown 62 percent whiter teeth compared to those without.

A concentration of between 1.5 and three percent is recommended to avoid any side effects. Another product with natural whitening properties used in commercial toothpaste is baking soda. Its alkaline attribute inhibits germ growth in your mouth.

Toothpaste containing baking soda has shown to be more effective in plaque removal, which is a precursor for teeth stain. Make a baking soda paste by mixing two teaspoons of water with one teaspoon of baking soda.

For an effective outcome, you can also make a paste of hydrogen peroxide (two teaspoons) with baking soda (one teaspoon). Gently use that paste a couple of times a week to avoid any overuse which will cause enamel erosion.

Veggies and Fruits

Bromelain and malic acid found in pineapple and strawberries, respectively, are attributed to teeth whitening. Bromelain found in pineapple is more effective at removing stains than ordinary toothpaste.

Strawberry, on the other hand, is smashed and mixed with baking soda. Working in tandem, the malic acid removes discoloration while baking soda buffs stains away. Papain, an enzyme in papaya, also has whitening effects.

Brush and Floss

Plaque buildup caused by germs is the primary cause of teeth discoloration. Curating an ideal routine to brush your teeth and floss will go a long way in not only whitening but cleaning your teeth.

Brushing cleans the surface while flossing cleans in between the teeth to remove germs that cause plaque.

Limit the intake of staining meals

Your teeth will naturally turn yellow as you age, but there are contributing drinks that will accelerate this process. They include dark berries, coffee, soda, and red wine. If you crave one of these beverages, consider using a straw to prevent direct contact with your teeth.

To equally prevent discoloration, consider brushing your teeth 30 minutes after consumption of these beverages. Chewing and tobacco smoking also cause discoloration. You should also endeavor to avoid meals with high sugar intake and incline more to calcium-rich foods.

For desirable results, you’ll need to be consistent with the practices above, so when you meet your acquaintances, you can flaunt your perfect, naturally white teeth. It’s also prudent to consult your dentist, as they’ll be able to preempt any issues that may occur and prescribe adequate measures to mitigate any oral health concerns you may have.
