Trusted Health Products

Lets say it takes you 67 seconds to read this article. In that time, another American will become a new Alzheimer's patient. And in the next 67 seconds, there'll be another one.

Startling isn't it? Its an alarming statistic of which most people aren't aware. June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month and we want to do our part by sharing some other important information with you.

As you may already know, Alzheimer's is a common form of dementia affecting more than 5 million Americans. But did you know that two-thirds of patients are women? Or that its the sixth leading cause of death in America?

According to the Alzheimer's Association there are 10 early warning signs of the onset of the disease:

Daily life is disrupted by memory loss.

Problem solving and planning become difficult.

Completing routine tasks at work and at home are more challenging.

Losing track of time, dates, and not recognizing familiar places happen with increased frequency.

It becomes difficult to judge distances or distinguish colors or contrasts.

Speaking or writing become problematic.

Sufferer loses items and is not able to retrace their steps for retrieval.

Patient shows poor judgment when dealing with financial matters.

They avoid social settings.

Their mood and personality change.

To date, there is no medically known way to prevent it, stop it or cure it. Knowing the signs of Alzheimer's and recognizing these behavioral patterns may help you to know when to seek help for someone you love.

Gut Reactions
Fortunately, there are a number of brain-related problems that are preventable or curable. For example, depression, anxiety, brain fog and some other neurological disorders may be controlled by your dietary choices. Healthy food choices make for a healthy gut. When your gut is unhealthy, it can become inflamed and the spread of that inflammation throughout the body may include the brain. Gluten, a protein found in many grain products, can trigger sensitivity that can cause neurological inflammation, resulting in depression, anxiety, or brain fog in a lot of people. A gluten-free diet may relieve these maladies in some sufferers.

Fueling Gray Matter
A daily dose of some organic oils can help reboot your brain. Hemp and coconut oils, and lecithin are Omega-rich nutrients that are vital to healthy brains.

Fish food really is brain food. The fatty acids in our brain cells thrive on the Omega oils in salmon, mackerel, and sardines. Kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and other green leafy vegetables provide vitamin C and antioxidants necessary for good brain health.

Need a legitimate excuse to eat chocolate? Well, brains need the flavonoids found in dark chocolate. Of course, flavonoids are also found in apples, red or purple grapes, and even onions. But chocolate sounds like a lot more fun.

Drink To Think
Getting enough water every day is literally a matter of life and death. So before you reach for anything else to imbibe, make sure your water intake is a first priority. Pure, purified, or filtered. Think before you drink anything else. Your brain will thank you for it.
