Hormones affect everything from your ability to sleep to your tendency to gain, lose or maintain weight to how clear your thinking is. When hormones get out of whack, life may generally feel harder and staying productive may begin to feel impossible. Women, in particular, can experience a great deal of hormonal fluctuation, especially in conjunction with their monthly cycles, pregnancy and menopause.

Hormones play a role in how heavy a woman’s flow is, how long it lasts, how regular it is and even how painful it can become. An imbalance can challenge the body’s ability to perform its basic functions and tasks in the most optimal and efficient way.
