Wonderful Benefits Of Jasmine Essential Oil

Trusted Health Products

There are tremendous benefits associated with jasmine essential oil. It has natural abilities that come from the fact that its properties are intrinsically antiseptic, antidepressant, emmenagogue, expectorant, antispasmodic and a whole host of other traits.

Derived from the popular jasmine flower, it has a fragrant smell that is often used for calming and relaxation purposes. Beyond the way that it delights the nose, this oil is great for many different issues. Here are some ways jasmine oil can be used.

Respiratory System

If you are prone to developing coughs or colds in the fall or winter months of the year, you'll want to have some of this oil on hand. Not only can it help to relax you and lull you to sleep if your symptoms keep you up at night, but it can also help to fight off that infection that may have developed in your respiratory system as a result of a tough flu or cold.

This will help to relieve your symptoms and get you back to feeling better much quicker. Try adding some to an oil burner or even put a few drops in your humidifier before you go to sleep at night.

Acne

If you suffer from painful and embarrassing blemishes that can easily ruin your day and your confidence, you'll definitely want to try this oil. Due to it cicatrisant qualities it is great for spot treating acne. Whether you have chronic acne or you suffer from breakouts every now and again, at the first sign of a bump, put a bit of jasmine oil on it and it will start to shrink in size.

This oil is also amazing for the scars that acne leaves behind. Those dark spots can be just as distracting and often act as a painful reminder of additional skin issues. Take a drop or two of jasmine oil and apply it directly to your blemishes.

Sleep Aid

Do you have trouble falling asleep even when you aren't sick? Do you suffer from insomnia at varying levels depending on how stressed you may feel at that particular time? You aren't alone. Many people report finding it incredibly difficult to fall asleep and to stay asleep depending on a whole host of factors.

Quality of sleep can be determined by health conditions, work life, family stressors and so much more. If you have a lot on your plate, you may want to inhale the scent of some jasmine essential oil before it's time to go to sleep at night. Try putting some of the oil on your wrists.

Sensitive Skin

If you have the type of skin that tends to break out easily or always seems to be dry or brittle, try adding a couple of drops of jasmine oil to your skin care products, namely your cleanser. It has naturally non-sensitizing effects and often brings a calming reaction to the skin. Great if your skin is naturally dehydrated and needs a bit of moisture that isn't going to leave your face greasy.
