This also allows for a proper cleaning that will remove all the build-up and plaque that has gathered since the last appointment. This is a key tool in avoiding gum disease and loss of teeth. However, these exams also allow for X-rays as needed, and the dentist can find any signs or symptoms of other illness.

Sleep apnea is a fairly common disease that affects the quality of sleep but also can lead to more serious issues due to lack of oxygen and sleep. While sleep apnea can be treated it is important to know that it is happening and to move forward with treatments as soon as possible.
To maintain health it is also important to keep as many teeth as possible and maintain their strength and stability. A regular well-balanced diet should be maintained because a proper diet with good food choices is the best ways to keep healthy. Once teeth become damaged, weakened, sensitive, or removed it becomes harder to maintain a regular diet. A liquid or soft-foods-only diet will not provide the same nutrients as a regular diet.
