From excessive screen time to too much light in your home, all this excess light causes your brain to think that you should still be awake. Also, artificial light may hurt your body and cause your circadian rhythm to cause a sleep-wake disorder, which may alter your internal clock and result in insomnia.
A great way to get better sleep is by limiting the amount of light you are exposed to. Putting your phone up and turning your television off can help with this.

A sleep mask is a popular nighttime accessory. There’s a good reason for this. A quality sleep mask will block out the light that may keep you from going to sleep or causing you to wake up too soon in the morning.
