Plaque Build Up In Kids Is One Major Cause Of Gum Disease
According to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, In Islamabad, Gum disease is one of the most common oral diseases among children.
Encouraging children to floss regularly will help your kids prevent red, puffy and inflamed gums. When kids are too young to floss, it is best that you do the flossing for them.
The prime cause of gum disease is the plaque build up. So better watch for plaque-forming conditions. These can include certain drugs that can affect bacterial growth inside the mouth. If you child is taking any medication, tell your dentist ahead of time. The oral tissues can be affected during puberty by hormonal changes. Crooked teeth can make plaque removal more difficult. Thumb sucking may displace teeth, thus making it harder to remove the plaque.
